CAM Custom Cue

This review is for a CAM Custom S/P that is anything but sneaky. It was made from a full splice ebony into maple blank and that's where the sneaky pete part ends. Chad did 44 inlays of ivory and nickel silver in the cue and the work is absolutely phenomenal. Everything is perfect. This is the second cue I have owned that was made by Chad and all I can say is he just keeps getting better at his craft. With Chad, the way the cue plays is the most important part and I was concerned about the weight of this cue being over 20oz. But the way this cue is balanced, it feels like 19. I'm really amazed at how good this cue plays. His taper and the old shaft wood on this cue accounts for a lot of it but what I have found is all his cues just play as good or better than they look and this one is a Looker!
I definitely recommend Chad's cues. They are hard to beat especially for the price. I've owned cues 4 to 5 times the money that played half as well. Unfortunately I couldn't load the photos on here. But if you want to see this cue, it was just in the for sale section. A search of 'Chad McLennan' will bring up the ad with the photos.

Chad's finish is absolutely flawless. I have yet to see a cue with that good of a finish. Originally I ordered my cue because I was impressed with his work in the joint protector department. Although mine is also only a sneaky pete, you can tell that Chad has a great attention to detail. The hit is a solid hard hitting cue. Moves the ball very easily. Order from Chad and you won't be disappointed. He is getting better everyday and will only continue to perfect the craft. Keep up the good work!
