can anyone here dowel and tap a shaft to fit a mezz wavy joint

The title basically says it all. i want to get a spare shaft for my mezz but the prices straight from mezz are way too high for me. if i bought an OB blank or a 314 fitted for a different joint would anyone here be able to drill it out dowel it and retap it to fit a mezz wavy joint for me?

i figure the odds of someone out there having a tap for the wavy joint pin but it can't hurt to ask. Thanks for your time!!

where do cue makers get taps? ive always wondered that and now itd be cool to know. are they expensive> thanks KJ

To the best of my knowledge that tap is not available outside of the Mezz factory.
We've discussed the 'Wavy' pin on here several times.
