The joint is backwards for all Paradise cues that I have seen. But it might be possible it is a very early Paradise. I would say it is from the 50's or 60's as best guess. Do those ferrules screw on and off the shafts? If so that is one thing he was famous for.

Hey there Chris. Yes, the ferrules are threaded inside and the ones on the shafts start to screw off when I turn them. One neat thing about the cues is the green marble or pearl I guess it's called. Its very rich with a lot of pattern to it. I have many Rich cues from this era with that stuff but up close this one looks like much better material. I,ll post a better pic of the joint and tip of the screw tonight. Thanks, -J

ok, managed to get some free time.

The screw for the ferrules are 3/16" x 24.

The shaft with the long screw (1" long) is 19/64" x 18

The shaft with the short screw (5/8" long) is 5/16" x 18

Both screw on tight.

The short screw one is more then likely the original shaft since the black material matches the butt side of the joint. The long srew one looks to be a different material and maybe made at a later date, though it still looks very old.

As you can see in the pic the ID of the brass joint has grooves cut in it like a cannon barrel but straight. The inner ring you see in the pic is where the screw starts to thread.

It could a few oldies. Spain or Paradise or even Helmstetter.
I have to lean Paradise.
Nick :)

Yea, thats the thing with these old cues, it can be quite hard to nail down who made them. Thaks for the input Nick and Chris. -J
