Can anyone identify this cue?

I have been offered to buy this for 300$, i have been told that its a McDermott and its worth 900$. The seller doesnt know the name of the model though, so i cant find much information about it.
Does anybody recognize it? Thank you!
 
Looks like a EN9, its on Mcdermotts website under retired cues. They have the value at 545. It sold new for 495 in 1994-1996.

Do you have any experience with cues of this series, and if so would you say that 300$ is a good price for one in good condition?

I would say (IMHO) that $300 is a bit rich for the cue.

I could be very wrong but I would think $200 - $250 should be fair but still not a great deal.
