hi,

i recently bought a used lucasi le-70 cue on ebay. it came without bumper and weight bolt. the cue weight is about 18.4 oz which i think is a bit light, balance isn't great. i live in sweden and there are no shop that sells lucasi spare parts, so i'm determined to make my own stuff in the workshop. ie cut some rubber and make a bolt.

i made a bolt earlier today and it fits, but i thought the bolt was supposed to go as far as possible up the hole in the cue? the hole is almost endless...i made the bolt without a head and screwed it far in but after a while the threads became slower and rougher so i unscrewed it, didn't want to destroy the threads.

now i read this and realize that maybe i "screwed" up: http://www.michaeljscues.com/lucasi_cue_accessories.htm

is the bolt supposed to be positioned way back by the bumper?? i hope not because the threads there are super good and i'm afraid it will be wobbly back there...please help me.

You can put the bolt at the back with a little white glue on the threads and the same if you want the bolt further up in the cue. Try it at the back and hit a few balls and move it to see if it feels better in another spot before you glue it in. Some cues have 2 bolts jammed together or seperated by a few inches, it depends on the balance and feel you like.--Leonard

It is common when the weight bolt is drilled and tapped for the bumper screw, but some cues have a push in bumper. Hope this helps.--Leonard
