Can it be done?

Hi Everyone,

A good mate here in Australia was left a cue from his Dad.

It was a lovely 2 piece with both the butt and the shaft made from Tiger Maple.

The shaft had lovely stripes all the way down it, a real stand out from the usual maple or ash.

Ive asked a few cue makers i know of if they could replicate it, though they believe due to the softness of the wood it would not meet the requirements for a shaft, though obviously it can be done after seeing my mates cue.

anyone have any thoughts on this and if it can be done?

Regards

Dave.

Hi again,

Further to the above, I’ve seen a few shafts through the search function that have slight 'tiger maple' through the shaft.

To give you an idea of what I’m after, my mates cue has such distinct orange lines through it, if you could imagine the wood from the attached cue continuing throughout the butt and then shaft. Was beautiful to look at.

Regards

Dave.
