can somebody help with preshot routine

Great Post!

I noticed my game went up just last year when I started to completely concentrated on my PSR. It helps stop the chatter/thinking in my brain.

Can we explore the exhale thing some more? I find it interesting.

I am still not clear on exactly when the exhale occurs. Do you all mean, for example, if you pause on the back swing, then you exhale as your take your final stoke? Or, exhale, then take the stroke?

Thanks,
Melinda

I'm no expert so I don't know what "should" be done but I start to exhale as I begin to draw back on the last stroke. The exhale finishes while I'm pausing, ala Buddy/Allison, then, not breathing, and SUCCESS! :D

thanks to everyone for helping but special thanks to this guy.. im off to go watch earl and efren play when they were younger now;)

Now, Now. Don't get me wrong these two men are the greatest players but trying to study there preshot routine is a no for me personally speaking. They are so natural talented for the game its sad:D They are the players to observe how they manage game situations, and can learn effective ways of handling problems. But players such as Allison, Karen, Niels, Thorsten, Danny etc.. are the type of players i love to watch for preshot routines.

I exhale right after I bring the cue back and just before I shoot. There really isn't much of a hesitation for me but I guess there is a little.
