Can someone Break Down in Detail the different ways of giving WEIGHT in 9 Ball ?

The "last three" around here meant the last three left on the table. If the eight was sunk early, you would win on the six if the lower balls were gone. The nine was still wild, but the 7 and 8 had no value until the end. That was a way to mostly remove wild balls without having to call anything.
O. I thought this was a joke. So if you give the last 3 and you MISS when there are 2 balls left(7 & 9). The weighted player only needs to make the 7 or combo 9? or does he automatically win if you MISS because there are only 2 balls left?
I've seen guys stop the breaker and re rack them to switch sides etc conversely I've seen the racker put the money ball on the wing when it doesn't count on the break. There is no limit to what can be stipulated is the point. BUT be careful with all that talk cuz the more it feels like you're talking to a lawyer the less likely you are to empty your rubber band.
Your saying the more they sound like a LAWYER the more they probably suck at pool?
This thread is old as dirt.

The landscape today is a lot different due to FargoRate. Almost all the action I see in my area now is by game spot instead of ball spot. I think most of the newer crowd wouldn't even know what "last 2" or the other spot lingo means.
Yes, I necroed because I didn't know dirt about weighting. But you are saying most people go with FargoRate these days? So people just break out their phones and drivers licenses, to verify Fargo and race??

You can have enuf controversy over simple spots and rules. The more complex you make things, it gives the other side opportunities. I always made spots simple and clear. Only takes a minute to set things up bcuz the other player hopefully wants it simple too. Not rocket science. Its 9 ball. 😂 Wild seven or call 7 w snap. Stays down on break. Roll out or not, depending on how old the other player is. Up to the spotter.
Not too much room for argument there. I won't spend time making a game w players unfamiliar with spot action. Too much trouble.
