Can Someone Help Me Identify This Cue?

[/IMG]This cue belonged to my brother who loved pool. He passed away in 2005 and I think he acquired it about 5-10 years before that. I thought he told me he paid $500 for it.
I have no clue as to it's maker, what kind of wood it is, etc..
It is 56 1/2" long.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.
