Can you add a ball return to a GC3 after the fact?

I'm looking at 2 GC3, one $1000 cheaper than the other one. The more expensive one comes with cover and ball return but not installed. The cheaper one does not come with either. If I want a ball return can I add it later?

I can't see why not. If you can buy the parts they will fit I believe.

Does this look like an appropriate amount of return rails for a 9 footer? Hard for me to see how it would go together

Yes, you can. I had ball return added to my Gold Crown I after I restored it. I think $1K more is a bit much. Tracks, ball box and pocket gullies will run you about $500 for parts then you'l have to pay someone to install it if you can't do it yourself. I'd try and negotiate the ball return table. There's something to be said for not having to locate the parts.

The gulley runs right under the pockets. The curved pieces go on the end of the table with the ball return, the curved end is what delivers the balls to the ball box. The straight pieces go at the opposite end of the table.
