TSN is showing Pee Wee hockey right now! On television is 12 year olds playing hockey when any number of pool tournaments could be shown. You know I'm all for Canadian heritage but this is a bit too much.

Of course I believe it. It's TSN. They're gonna show any hockey they can get their hands on. They probably show pick up shinny games during late night.

IF there going to show pee wee hockey they should at least show the 5 and 6 year olds. At least thats cute and kinda of funny.

Bast@#%$, pool is the only reason I got cable in the first place. And they never show it. I think the last time I saw pool on TV (that wasn't on a tape or ~edit~dvd was around Christmas.

I certainly appreciate your rant as well as the lack of pool on TV. It drives me nuts too. Last night, ESPN2 was showing the U.S. Paintball Championship. I'm utterly amazed at their choice of programming sometimes. That said, didn't ESPN Classic have a whole marathon of pool just recently?

I couldn't agree more. Nothing like watching a bunch of 5 years olds all move as one gigantic pack toward the puck. Then when one of them gets a breakaway, they fall down for no apparent reason. The other thing I love about watching 5 year olds skate is that a lot of them refuse to use the bench door. Lots of NHL players hop over the boards and that's who they look up to, so that's what they're gonna do. Even if the board is about as tall as them and tires them out just climbing over it. Good stuff.

Just last night I thought I was on the wrong channel when the 'sport' was some kind of Peter-pan race through a made-for-TV-pirate-ship-prop/tourture-device. I double checked that I was on TSN or SportsNetWest (don't forget I'm in western Canada), and sure enough, it was another made-for-TV-"sport". I went and practiced pool instead.

It seems to me that our Canadian sports networks are covering a wider range of hockey since they were forced to fill in a bunch of timeslots when the NHL was out-to-lunch. I too would rather see pool.

I bet the parents screaming they'll hate their kids if they don't win is much more intertaining than watching 12year olds beating the crap out of each other on the ice. Actually both would be good.

I can't stand sports anymore. When I'm in a house installing a pool table and they decide to turn on the TV. It's Sportscenter. A bunch of Jock sniffing reliving glory day hasbeens talking about how in their day they would have done this compared to whoever is in the sports news.

Put it on CNN or Foxnews and it's like Kryptonite. They'll go scrambling for their remotes. Even sometimes getting so desperate to go to the tv themselves and change the channels until it reaches ESPN
