I have a 9 foot table. On the foot end it says Montana Billiard Company but I don't know much more about it. One of the rails i'm pretty sure is dead because when a ball hits it, it makes a weird sound. So I figure if i'm going to replace one i might as well do them all. And i'm wondering if I was able to get Diamond rails or bumpers would i be able to make the switch and make the table play like a diamond with out actually being a "diamond". Not sure if diamond rails only fit with diamond tables or if i could make it work some how. Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks

Of course you can, almost anything can be done! Might cost a "little" more, but it can be done.

First check the bolts on that dead rail....loose bolts can make a good rail bad.

First of all, Diamond buys there cushions already made by a different manufacture, which means yes, they sell their cushions to anyone looking to buy them. But keep in mind, the cushions don't mame the Diamond tables play the way they do, the Diamond rails WITH cushions mounted are what makes the Diamond play the way it plays. Buying the cushions Diamond sells and having them installed on your pool table is NOT going to transform your pool table into a table that plays like a Diamond, all its going to do is make it play like a table that nust had new cushions installed on it....thats it. Big question is, are your rails designed for K55 cushions, or are the designed for the K66 profile cushions?

How can I tell which ones would work for my table?

Been lurking on AZ for 6 years and never seen a thread on how to tell the difference between K66 & K55?....LOL Okay then, measure the cushion from the nose of it to the wood in which it's glued to, across the top side of the cushion, measuring only the cushion. If that measurement is 1 1/8" they're K66 cushions. If that measurement is 1 1/4" or close to it, then the cushions are K55 profile. Also, look under the nose of the cushion to see if there's a name on the cushions.
