play your best straight pool is pretty good. imo videos are the way to go for learning. buy some accu stats
*Play your best straight-pool* by Phil Capelle
*Mastering Pool* by George Fels
*Straight Pool Bible* by *Babe Cranfield*
All these 3 Books are a absolutley *must have* for a straigh-pool player!
Further i highly can recommend the Video from Jim Rempe *how to run a rack* inc *How to run 100* ,excellent stuff.
And at least try to get some videos from popular players-especially the high runs that are availabe from John Schmidt are really really good. You can learn a lot by watching *Schmitty*
