Pool can be a way of life. But can the game reveal the way one lives?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean. I do think any competitive activity will tell you a lot about a person that you might not see under other circumstances, and pool certainly is a good competitive activity for that.

I'm talking club level and the way one plays the game (e.g. reckless, cautious, aggressive, carefree, etc.) It's funny how the player really owns his/her kind of game.

ey bud, i think it depends on who the player is playing against too. in my case, if im just playing with my friends, i tend to be more offensive and carefree. i dont want to win every match against them, i know how it feels to be beaten everytime by a friend, i was before...hehehe.
but if im playing against someone i dont know, i play more cautiously, i double, sometimes even triple checking how i should approach a particular shot.

I think one pocket tells you a lot about a player's speed too. If they can control the cb really well, they gotta know how to play.

tswhat I mean Locki, "i dont want to win every match against them, i know how it feels to be beaten everytime by a friend, i was before...hehehe. " means that you are a kind person.

"in my case, if im just playing with my friends, i tend to be more offensive and carefree" means that you're confident and trusting.

Game psychologists must consider getting clients from our game huh! lol.

Hey,

This is a very interesting point. Watching a fairly serious pool player tells u a lot about how he/she would do lots of other things in everyday life, as someone already pointed out caution, agression and nerves... another good point is intimidation. It is very interesting to see a player who is intimidated by another.... pool is an art and art tells a very detailed story.

i was going to reply with something similiar. there are players who don't want to be bothered unless it's for cash. there are players who want to win all the time. there are players who will let others win. there are players who will let women win. i'm a social player myself.

sounds like locki is a nice guy(don't worry locki, i'm straight), without turning this thread into a locki fan club.

hehehe, thanks guys, well, i just know how to be beaten everytime by someone close, it was way back when i was still learning to play and properly stroke.
