Canadian Dufferin butt vs $30 Players butt

I am happy with my Universal Smart shaft, however I am thinking that there is probably a great disparity between the quality of my USS & the $30 Players butt upon which it is mounted.

I have a Canadian made Dufferin cue. Would its butt be superior to the $30 Players? If so, I would need to have the joint adapted to accomodate the USS.

Would this be worthwhile?

I don't think it matters much at all about what butt you use. In my opinion, the butt is just cosmetic. Try them both out and see if you can tell the difference.

A little more info on the Dufferin would be helpful.
What model, etc. is it? If it's a model with the aluminum jnt., then the modification to the Dufferin joint to accommodate the USS would probably cost more than what the end result would be worth. JMO, yours may be different.

On the other hand, if the Duff is a full-splice house cue handle, then by all means, have the jnt. work done. Full-splice handles are in great demand and it has nothing to do with cosmetics.
