Hey guys , I know that very few of you know me.....But I am Scotty Brown and I am a Pastor that loves pool tourneys

And I play out of Borderline billiards in Bristol Va......this is Janet atwells place. We have a lady here in the room that is more or less like all of our moms, or very close to it.....Her name is Shirley, and she has been diagnosed with liver cancer, and it is a very serious case of it.( Not to be to negative )

Anyway we are having a tourney for her on November 19th and I was hoping that some of you guys may want to donate some items of interest for our private auction....or if nothing else Just send cash . I know this may be weird to ask on an open forum, but we really would like all the items and publicity we can get for this , and I just thought some of you may want to help out!

if you guys can help we would be very gratefull. I know that for many of you this isnt possible to help but for those of you who can will you PLEASE!

Also all proceeds go to Shirley and everything donated will be handled with the utmost care !

Also if a moderator here would make this a sticky That would really be great....esp since I dont post here much....But I am willing to give anyone that asks My private info, but Not out in Public....other than My name and Profession.......I guarantee you that donates that everything you donate will go to the Patient! HELP IF YOU CAN.....and if you cant please be praying for Shirley

we had a benfit at poolhall for the bartenders mother, cancer also
now, with you being a preacher and all, this may not fly
but, they raised $13,000!!!!!!! in less than 4 hours
correction: i was way off on this one. talked to her tonight, it was $4000. i have no idea where in the world i got that $13k figure.
maybe it was $13k for dates with ALL of the girls??? :rolleyes:

she had a bunch of her hottie college girl friends put thierselves up for auction for dates
i bought one for $40
never did get that date :rolleyes:
wife isn't that understanding!!!!
it was all in fun
ok, now it's time for the rest of the bigtime cuemakers to step up to the plate
you know, the guys that ACTUALLY MAKE MONEY at this

Yea Brent ...that may not work to well for me LOL.....But I am just trying to get all the donations for this and letting Janet run the thing.

We have a few local folks helping us out, even walmart said they could help a little, not much But every lil bit we get just means more money for Shirley

I really appreciat the donation of the stick , and I know Shirley and her family will as well.....SO THANKS BRENT FOR EVERYTHING.....AND I DO MEAN EVERYTHING YOU HAVE DONE !
 
If you get something together to sell items I will donate a break jump cue. Or maybe better, just start an auction on here for it and when no one ups the bid anymore or set a dead line for bids, they can send you the money and then I will send them the cue. I totally understand what she is going through. My wife was diagnosed with lung cancer this week. It is very advanced and has spread to her spine and has fractured some of her vertabre and she is in a lot of pain. Keep her in your prayers.

CHRIS ....That breaks my heart for you and her......I know your faith in God is strong, and that your love for him is stronger.......I WANT YOU TO KNOW YOU ARE VERY MUCH IN MY PRAYERS FRIEND !!!!!!

We can do what ever you want with your donation.....if you want to auction it here we can do that!

CHRIS....you have my number in your files , if you need someone to talk to give me a call!!!! I DONT CARE, if it is 3 in the morning call me and I will talk with you about this......they diagnosed my MOM with lung cancer that had also attached to an artery in her heart, and they werent giving her much good news and God COMPLETELY healed her....he took it all away Chris, now he may not always do this for every situation, but that is just a real life example that he can and does still do it !

Why don't you see if MR Wilson will set up a benefit auction for her on the main forum for donated items. I will give them choice on my in stock break jump cues. That saves double shipping expense.

Her pain is under control now and they say it is terminal, but we know God is greater than the docotrs, so we are praying for mercy in this situation. We are going to explore a newer treatment where they use insulin along with lower dose Chemo and lots of herbs and healthy foods. If the Doctor feels it will help that is the avenue we plan to pursue. We really appreciate the prayers.

I have been through a tough year...
My fiancee lost her mom and three months later I lost my mom.
Followed up within another 3-4 months and had to put my kitten to sleep. She was only 9 months old and was sick with FIP. Maybe just a cat, but she was my baby.

I found a lot of support with all the members on the forum.
All I can do is return the favor that they did for me when my mom was ill and just wanted to join my dad in heaven (the pain was too much to continue living).
I will pray for your wife and for you to have the strength through this difficult time.

She will certainly be in my prayers. I am going through something similar with a good friends son. Keep us informed as to her progress.

I too Am very sorry to hear the news Chris. I don't know much of what I could do to help if anything, but if ever you can think of something, don't hesitate to ask, I'd do whatever Is In my power if it helped. We can Pray for her though, and You guys have Our prayers from here also. There are many, many cases of people beating the odds, so please keep the faith. My father recently had a heart attack, and Lisa was the backbone to My strenth in dealing with it, and being able to show that strenth for him and My mom instead of showing My imaturity, sadness, and worry. If It were her It may have been alot harder, so I will also pray for your strenth, as well as the best possible outcome for Your wife, and the ease of her pain. In My dad's case it looks like there was far less damage then they originally thought, and he is doing well, so we're thankfull. I know It's not the same thing as cancer, but some people do beat It too even when things look bad, & I've seen enough to know that miracles do happen. We'll be praying for one here.
