My wife and I are living for Cancun this weekend, anyone know where I can pick up an all leather hand tooled case? I have been there before, but never really looked for a case when I was in town. Thanks

If you’re into 3C there’s a room that has some good tables and a Saturday tournament. Bring your own chalk🤣
You can ask at the pool room about cases.

Just be aware that in a Medican tourist town 95% of handcrafted items for sale will have come from China.

Agree with the other poster in that there is little likelihood of getting a hand-tooled case there. They do make leather stuff down there but is more along the lines of belts, wallets, jackets, etc. Good luck, you may shit out and find one.

keep your eyes open as tourists are being shot and robbed there. and if you go away from the resort you are taking your chances. for a pool case.

the u.s govt. has an alert not to travel there .

Personally, I'd love to hear a followup to your mission to hunt down a hand-tooled case in Mexico. As others have said, it seems fraught with disappointment. Especially if you're not diligent.

An excellent alternative is a Justis case. Just plan on spending a little more. The bonus is that it holds value. It doesn't come with an adventure, though.

PS. I've been to Cancun numerous times and I got nothing. I'd probably start by finding pool tables that locals use.

I had a pair of boots made in Mexico years ago whilst I was there. The guy measured my foot and I was wearing new boots the next day. I am impressed to this day.

John Barton once sold me a hand tooled leather case from china. It was pretty nice.

I have been to Mexico around 40 times in the last 17 years or so . The only leather goods I have seen were wallets, belts, holsters and boots . I am friends with a few locals , I will ask about cue cases when we go next month . I really hope the op relates his experience in his search for a case .
