My friend just bought a cannon j/b cue at the Open. He wants to sell it to me now that he is back in town. I was wondering what everyone thought about them compared to the new samara/gulyassy?

Pretty big bang for the buck... Although I don't have one, and use a sneaky with a phenolic for breaking (at least sometimes) and have two other dedicated jump cues.

I have a friend who owns a cannon, and it sure does make it easy to achieve powerful breaks.

Your "friend" can't like the cue all that much if he just bought it and now wants to sell it.

Why not try it out for yourself? Is it one of those 23oz. weight varieties? The guy I know breaks with one love his, although I can't say they are as popular as the BK2 or Sledgehammer.

he only bought one just to have it. He is one of those impulse shoppers. Every time he sees something he somewhat likes, he buys haha. Yes it is a 23 oz cue.

Then what do you care what I think?

You have a rare opportunity to try it out for yourself, and see if you like it.
