I play on an old Steepleton in my room. Both the corner pockets behind the head string roll toward the center of the table, making it nearly impossible to slow roll a ball down the rail. I ve got Simonis 760 on it. What could be the problem? If you put a level on it it shows level.

It would seem to me that your slate is sagging in the center. The way to find that out is remove the rails and the bedfelt and lay a 6 foot level across that piece of slate. Use a playing card to see if there is any gaps between the level and the slate. My bet is there will be one in the center of the slate. You'll have to shim the slate from underneath and reseam it.

Hope this helps

If you use an 8 or 10 inch machinist level to check the level of the slate instead of a carpenters level, you'll be able to read the level of the slate correctly!...without taking it apart!

you can also use the edge of a 2ft. square that way you know you have a true straight edge.
