Play began at noon today with Jason Richko and Trevor Braymore battling it out to see who will face Tony Crosby. With three players Tony Crosby lucked up with a bye for his first round.

I believe all three got a free paid entry. The one who finishes 3rd will get a free entry to the next one. At least they get to play some pool for free.

Cast your mind back to your 'discussions' with TheOne over the disappearing website advertised World Open entry fee of 1,000/- which magically became 1,500/- overnight along with denials from you amongst others that it had ever been 1,000/- in the first place.

Now have a look at the IPT website and show us where it still says (like it apparently did earlier) that the 3rd to 6th place finishers in these pre-qualifying events get free entries to a future competition......:confused:

.......Surprise,Surprise!....the website offer of such consolation prizes seems to now be as mythical as the fedex bag containing the checks:rolleyes:

Jason Richko won the amateur qualifier two weeks ago at Planet 9-Ball and is headed for Atlanta as a result. He plays well, but I'm pulling for Tony C.

The score is tied 2-2 with Richko and Crosby. I am the TD I cannot root for either player. All the guys that are playing are great guys and I have a lot of respect for them and their game.
BTW I will be at Planet 9 on Sunday for the KBP Amateur event.

Last game Crosby missed the 8 ball with only the 6 and 8 on the table leaving it open for Richko to take the game. Richko is breaking.

Tony beat Jason 10-5 for the 1st spot win. Now Trevor and Jason are playing for the 2nd spot. The 3rd place player will at least get a roll over into another qual

Have any of the pros down there at Capones happened to mention if they have been paid for Reno yet? I wonder how many players they might have had for the Q if everyone had been paid from the last tournament...

IPT Payouts

I will not comment on the pay issue between the IPT and the players. It is up to the players to get things straight with the IPT and not for me to speculate on what it going on. I am here in the capacity of reporting, being a tournament director and a ref. I will not comment of rumors or speculation.

Thanks I fixed it. The laptop is so different than my home computer in size of keyboard wise its hard plus I'm trying to watch the match and update too. Sometimes I am typing while I'm watching. Try to figure that one out.
