Capone's Springhill IPT Qual

2 more matches to go

Robb Saez 10 Sam Monday 9
Robb now has to play Cliff Joyner to see who faces off with Richie Richeson for the 2nd spot of this qualifier

Just one more after this

Robb Saez and Cliff Joyner were competing for a chance to go against Richie Richeson to see who would join Dave Broxson for the Qualifier. Joyner won the lag in his match with Saez. Joyner took the first win but Saez came back after Joyner missed a shot taking game 2. This gave Saez a chance to break and runout. The 4th game and 5th game Joyner took, Saez took the 6th game. Joyner came back taking 7th and 8th game, Saez took the 9th game. Joyner took the next 3 games with Saez trying to catch up winning game 13. Game 14 and 15 lept Joyner into the win with a 10-5 score.

What happened on the masse shot?

A tough way to lose. Get that far and foul on your last shot.

A $5,000 mistake.

potentially a 100k+ mistake!

I watched Richie play on Saturday; he is very animated while shooting, similiar to Keith. Not a text book player, but man he is a run-out machine. He would have been fun to watch on TV.

Thank you for all the updates. I was planning on going, but my Back went out Thursday and I was in pain all weekend. I was lying in bed with an ice pack on my Back, wondering how it was going. I wish I could have made it.

:)

Just want to say this was a very well run event, Kay and Tim did a fantastic job.
I was very dissapointed to lose my 1st match to Broxson, Making some school boy errors early and then he went on to break and run 4 so that didnt help my cause. I came back and played well against Bobby Pickle and then ran into Rob Saez who played very well.
The two that got through defo deserve it and are both good guys i wish them luck in Reno.

You know, I sometimes (always) get 'some' players dressed like homeless people at our tournaments and try to encourage them to be more presentable. I sometimes use other tournaments/tours as an example (Florida Men's Tour). What was the dress code for the IPT at Capones and did they adhere to it ? Just curious. I mean, this IS Florida, afterall.... (shorts, jeans, t-shirts, flip flops, sunglasses, bathing suits, etc.) LOL

On Saturday at least, almost everyone was presentable. There were a few collarless shirts and one gentlemen wearing a t-shirt, which was surprising considering he qualified and played in the Vegas event:eek:
