Bob began making cues I think in the early 90's (prolly around 93 or 94) from his small shop off of Dixie Hwy in Boca Raton, Fl. He frequented the room I was playing in at the time in Pompano Beach, Q Stix on Sample Rd. We played a lot of one pocket and a lot of golf on a 6x12 snooker table in there. Bob was looking for cue customers and we were friends, so I asked him to make a cue for me.
For the next several months I visited Bob's shop and watched and conferred on my cue. Of course the cues Bob built then were nothing like what he is building today as he has become one of the very best in the business. BTW, when Bob wasn't building cues he was captaining a custom 67' Buddy Davis fishing boat.
Any way, here is a cue Bob built in 1995 for me and which I still play with exclusively today. It is a beautiful piece of coco bola with firery movement that pictures just do not do justice to. My guess is that this is the oldest cue still in existence of Bob's, and so, I am asking does anybody know of another Manzino cue of this vintage?
Thanks for any information you may have.......
