There is nothing special about CF shaft deflection aside from the material used, I have played with a few cheaper ones that had about as much deflection as a normal shaft, all the way to the Revo where it's about the lowest deflection shaft out there.
CF shafts, Kielwood shafts, maple shafts, etc.. are all just different materials, how they are made is what makes them different. A lot of people ask "how are maple shafts vs Kielwood shafts or CF shafts" that's like asking how are blue cars vs red cars. They are not all the same just because they are made of the same material, I've played with stiff CF shafts (Revo and Ignite) and whippy CF shafts (Cuetec and Meuicci), stiff Keilwood shafts and whippy Keilwood shafts, with LD properties all over the map.
