Carbon Fiber (?)

There is already a better material than the conventional carbon fibre. Most can't afford the 10k or more for material to make 1 shaft from let alone the development costs associated with it. Composites is the term to more than one material, ie carbon fibre mixed with fibre glass , or basalt, or aramid or other fibre types, etc

The term composite refers to the fact that it is multi materials yes, but the materials are resin, filler and reinforcement. A Corvette fender for example is a composite material made of polyester resin, crushed limestone filler, some minor additives for various reasons, and chopped fiberglass reinforcement. A " carbon fiber" cue is plastic resin of some sort to bind the carbon fiber reinforcement. It may be a pure resin but likely has some fillers or adatives. You can certainly mix the various types of reinforcements together in one material but that is usually done for economic and not technical reasons.

Yes, there are more advanced materials that would make cues $10,000 but that's a lot of mental masturbatory nonsense at this time.

Sent from the future.
