I've seen products consisted from carnauba wax, used for car paint polishing and protection. Is it the same with these of cues or they have other ingredients that damages the cue? Thank you

The cue wax I use leaves the shaft much slicker than the car wax does. It is specially formulated to give that silky smooth feel. Car wax on the other hand is designed to give a shine instead of a smooth feel.

i think he may be asking about for use on the generaly used auto finish sprayed on the butt. if not and his question has already been answered, i'd certainly be curious.

Hi. I found "Nanowax" (paste) at the local auto parts store. This contains a high percentage of Carnuba, plus micro fibres of some unknown material.
I have fittings for my drill that fit all of my various size joints, thus allowing me to spin my shafts while cleaning them. I first clean my shafts with a spray of denatured alcohol, use 1000 grit sand paper to eliminate any rough areas, then apply this NANOWAX. Spin for about 30 seconds to help the wax to dry, wipe with a soft cloth. Leaves my shafts as smooth and slick as any I have ever tried. A BIG can costs about $10.00.

Reguardless of what kind of wax you use the wax will only work as good as what is under it. Do you seal the shaft? With an automotive product? With a wood product? Not pitching a product one way or another but think why certain products work in combinations. Along the lines of what Chris said.

i agree.

my way i chris' shaft sealer.
then sand with 600
then chris' wax

i use a good aount and really get it in there
