Carolina Cues and the future

I think CC is fairly new (under 10 yr old) and make a very solid product. But for future value and collectability, do you guys think they are pumping out a bit too many cues? Do they have a chance to become a maker that holds and increases value, and with a higher end reputation?

Also, are they one of the makers that make one cue design and don't repleat it? I have seen several similar cues, but the inlays and points are always a bit changed from cue to cue. Sneaky petes with different rings for example instead of the same one with the same colors.
 
good question!, CC caught my eye their first year at the expo in PA. I like how they are doing old school style cues....they are my favorite. As far as making too many, or flooding the market?....I dunno. I guess if there becomes a glut of their cues, and the prices drop too much it could hurt the value or reputation maybe.

Price vs quality, I see no problem with what they are doing IMO.

I'm still looking for one of their cues to really match a cue I had years ago. Been close a few times :)o
 
Carolina Custom Cues

I bought an early Carolina and had a small issue with the finish. They treated me like royalty and made the cue perfect. It seems that old-school service extends beyond their cue design concepts...

With commitment to their customers like the treatment I experienced, they will be around a long time and go far.
 
I traded emails with Trevor, who is the shop manager at Carolina Custom, for a couple of weeks about having a custom built. Trevor was prompt in his replies, answered any and all questions I had to my satisfaction, and in several instances gave his opinion where I was undecided which I ultimately ended up following. I recieved my first pic on Friday of my forearm and I cant wait until he is finished. All things considered I am at this point more than satisfied with the service I have recieved regarding my first custom and look forward to future transactions with CC.
 
Kelly Fisher selected Carolina Cues to design and build her personal line of cues. So we know they are getting into the hands of at least some of the pro players. I've seen their cues and was very impressed with the quality of workmanship.

i dont know how "collectable" cc will be but i recently got a plain jane cc and i am in love with it. carolina makes a fine hitting cue. thats what i care about. if all their cues hit like mine, collectable or not they'll be around for a long time.

I've never heard anything bad about CC since I've joined this forum. They seem to have a reputation for a quality product and they stand behind it.

Collectable? Maybe, especially if custom.

Value for your money? Without a doubt.
 
Great cues

I will second the possitives here. I have 2 of their cues and both are extremely nice and I am very happy with the playability. I buy cues to use not just for collectability issues. These cue are player cues. Highly recommended.

Thanks for the replies. They pretty much mirror what I think about them too. I have a sneaky with some ringwork I got from bama on here (great service from both him and CC when I sent back for a new finish). Very nice cue for the money and the hit is great. I also had an issue with the finish and it was resolved perfectly, they turned down the shaft a bit at my request at no charge when it was being re-finished.
