I'm not sure how familiar you are with golf gambling, but it's kind of hard to post when you are playing for $100 a hole with unlimited presses. You wouldn't think that someone would take a hard right on the 16th hole and high tail it to the clubhouse while others in the group are hitting their second shots either. Either way, it all comes out in the wash. I'm sure his sorry ass needs the $1400 way more than I do. Just wanted to post a heads up for people thinking about gambling with him since he gambles for a living and all.

I was wondering wht Earl was even playing in this event. I'm not saying this wasn't a great tourney to play in but Earl 6-time World Champion, numerous U.S.open winner,has played all over the world for hundreds of thousands of dollars Strickland. Playing for 2500 bucks. Just seems very strange....

Hmm, IMO to prepare for the US Open, to stay in stroke, make a few $$$ to finance the trip for US Open, and don't forget the calcutta ie player's auction. You can really rack some serious money from the calcutta. Plus Goldsboro probably is within his driving distance.

What I dont' get is why Tony Watson forfeited?

You think Earl needs extra cash? Huh. Times must be getting tuff for him. To stay in stroke i might go for that but not the extra cash. Watson probably had seen someone that he owed money too and he had to get out of there.=)LOL!!!

Some clown that said he was a bookie. He and Chew thought they had a lock playing best ball and each of them got to play 2 balls while Shannon, Mike Coltrain, and myself played lauderdale. Well, it turns out that Chew and his partner neither one can play themselves out of a wet paper sack.

Wow! i didn't realize the turnout they were having. Hmmm... It seems that it isn't as low caliber as i thought. Well it isn't out of line for Earl to show up there if those guys would have been there. It just seemed odd looking at the finalists this year.

Yes, lauderdale is the same as Captain's choice. It was a few years back.

Before Mike got the shakes? Well one time at a par 3 course in raliegh somewhere. JimmyFaircloth played Tony Ellin and Faircloth thought he could give elin a 1/2 stroke a hole for 50 bucks per hole. Needless to say ellin won 500 in 27 holes.

Yes, in 2005 it was amazing. Probably the best time I had so far. I got my pics taken with the Filipino pros, witnessed Larry Nevel CANON break, I mean CANON. It was so hard, it's scary. Earl was there to, Jeremy Jones beat Sambajon. Gabe, Scott Frost, not to mention Nick Varner was there as well. I mean it was really geared toward a Pro tournament than just some local or state tournament.
