Well...it's almost done. All she needs is the black lizard skin wrap, and she'll be boxed up for PA. The guys at CC decided to add the dots over top of the suit inlays, which was a nice touch. All white's ivory including the butt. It's hard to make out with the one picture...but the veneers from the outside in, are black, white, red, white. You can only see the spade inlays...the other points and windows have either a diamond, club, or heart set inside. It'll have ivory ferules on the two 12.5mm shafts with Everest layered tips. Cue weighs in at 18.5.

I can't wait to get it. Should be here by Thursday or Friday. I'll take pics when she gets here. This is the first box/bridged point cue they've done...and Trevor thinks it's the finest example of their work to date. I'll definitely be working with these guys again in the future. They're polite, have a good sense of humor, and love what they do. Below...you'll see that it shows.

Mike's lathe is nasty.

I wasn't asking your opinion on the lathe. Regardless...it looks like it did damn fine anyway at performing its job description. :p

i have seen much nastier.i was thinking it was actually pretty clean for a cuemaker.

I think the only pristine lathe out there is the one not used. You're not supposed to be able to eat off the things.

What do you think of the cues look?

I was just picking on my buddy, Mike.

This cue came out amazing. Easily, it is some of our best work.

I'm going to be starting my 8pt bridge cue very soon.

Chuck, they are mitered veneers. We all love the look of this cue. I was wanting to build a box cue but after working on this beauty i have changed my mind. I have it pictured in my head exactly how id do it. The hard part is talking Trevor into letting me build it and finding time. Hayden, you have a VERY beautifull cue there. Ill be doing the shafts for it today and it should be on its way to you VERY VERY soon.

Hey that would look better with no inlays in the points .
The inlays in the points LOOK Bigger the the base of the point .
. Just my 2 cents.
Now the in lays in the but looks real good .

Who came up with that style.
Matt or Travor?????
LOL ds32 said hi guys at CC Custom . work has realy picked up for you guys..
Good luck..

Well...I'm beyond excited. I can't even begin to explain what a pleasure it is to work with you guys. All of you are so enthusiastic about what you do...I can tell it pains you to even have to let some of these cues go. :-) I put the design together myself (outside of the dots)...and it came to fruition in a way I couldn't have imagined. Tell everyone at the shop who has helped contribute...thank you.

That style is actually my own design. This is the first boxed/bridged point cue they've done, and I have to say it looks like they knocked it out of the park. This cue is 99% what I had cooked up in my head when I described it to Trev. The execution is perfect. I can't wait to see it with the lizard skin wrap.

Your ideal was a good one .all cues should fit the the player. And by seen what you have come up with you look to be a true player .I hope one day i can get them to make something custom for me..
But" i'll have something made by them.Somthing comes to mind . Comming soon.

I want to take most of the nice cues home. I hate to seem them leave the shop. What am I going to have to show off to the people dropping by? *sigh* I do my best work and have to ship it off. It's kind of sad.

I hope you like the finished product. I spent a ton of time getting that bridge just right.

It's funny you mentioned a box cue. I have another really solid idea for a box cue similarly themed to this cue. I'm anxious to run it by you guys.

Well...I definitely appreciate the hard work boss. :) You guys need to start taking a slough of photos of these cues before they go out the door. The cues on your website just do not do any justice whatsoever to what's actually being built. A gallery of the cues you've made would make for a great portfolio/resume...and I think would really have people pushing your design skills to the hilt. I'd really love to get a photograph of the cue with all the guys at the shop that had input on it. It'd be something neat to round off what's been a unique and enjoyable experience.

The guys at Carolina Cues are putting out some very nice cues. I have two cues coming from them that should be here today or tomorrow I think. A 4 point ebony into ebony and an 8 point cocobolo into birdseye, both with quite a few ivory inlays. These guys can take whatever you want and do it. They did an amazing job on mine from what I can see and I can't wait to get them. The guys are very easy to work with!!

Thanks for the kind words Hayden and John. I hope you both enjoy your new CCs. John i like your 8point cue better than the ebony/ebony but im not a huge fan of ebony. Hayden your cue is a first for us and we all love it. Trevor has agreed to let Matt build a bridged point, then i get to start on mine. Im having a hard time tryin to figure out what i want to build though LOL. What ever i decide to build I know its getting an ivory joint and ivory inlays. Knowing me and my love for the Hoppe style i might do a simple cue or might take Trevors advice and go all-out for a change and play with something flashy. Hayden your cue is beautifull and I hope you enjoy it.

All finished

As posted on Carolina's website...here's a picture of the entire cue with black monitor lizard wrap. :-) When the cue arrives tomorrow I'll take closeups of the detail and post'em here. Can't wait to shoot with this mf'er.
