Hey AZB,

Pocket billiards has tons of drills suggested, but I don't know of many in Carom. I normally might drill making the break shot, but aside from that I don't have one. Suggestions?

Calibrating YOUR "tips of English"

Place a OB in middle of short rail nearly froze. Shoot within the first dia in the kitchen (a 9'+ shot). Try to feather the OB 15 times without it bouncing past the second diamond on the long rail. Ball in hand ok but make it tougher as it gets easier. Then add to the goal. More successes or reduce the OB area.

Also for pool, the good ol up the table and back to the tip.

And of course don't forget the lag and other speeds like back to the head rail or 1-1/2 lengths......

Finally Basic Naturals hitting 1st 2nd & 3rd diamond from anywhere.

Well,

you can do the same in 3c as you do it in pool. Set up a standard-shot- and practice it- not just making the point- Also try to make the shot *everytime again* and furthermore trying to send the "Ball No 2" to a position, where you would have the next *makeable/easy shot*.

I am very sure Bill (aka Mr3cushion) can give you here several good examples/drills.
In 3c it is like in Pool-- just making the point is not the key to success-- every ball has its own importance...and so the position of every ball is important, too :-)

Much appreciated fellas. I'll give it a try and see what improvements come. Thanks.
