Wanna improve all your pool games & creative shot thinking, try this game for 20 minutes, its incredibly tough, the high run is 4, all time.

Object of Game: Pocket and object ball (not the one you hit first, but if it goes in it stays down and does not count for/against the shooter) to give yourself one point, but the catch is the cue ball has to FIRST go off an object ball.

This is a great game to practice, because allot of time you'll have to execute and make a shot like this in 9 ball to continue your run out.

If you play an opponent, the first to score 10 points wins.

Scratches do not count against you. If you make the shot and scratch, then, you do not get the point, and you do not take a point away from your toal score either. (the game is tough enough !!)

When you scratch you opponent has to shoot from the kitchen.

To give you a simple example of how to score 1 point lets say the nine ball (or any ball) is hanging in the corner pocket, you could strike any OTHER ball FIRST and if you pocket the nine (by draw/carom/dbl kiss/whatever, you score 1 and contiue shooting.

Another example, if a ball is frozen on the rail and you shoot the cue ball into it and then the cue ball double kisses and kicks the ANOTHER/called intended ball in, you would also score another point.

If you strike the cue ball off any ball and go 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 or 9 rails/whatever, and make the intended called ball you score 1.

Great one pocket players know how difficult it is to strike and object ball and with high english or just a plain carom, and have the cue ball roll to EXACTLY where they want it to go, this game adresses your stance/balance/natural roll/release of cloth/spin/your weaknesses/everything, it will give you a way to practice pool for match play like never before. It will also make you see "more" when shooting.

Think about it, in match play, if your not shooting a ball in the pocket, then what are you doing? You are hitting an object ball and trying to get the cue ball to your intended spot whether it be left/right/straight or anything inbetween, I think the BEARD would find this game fascinating.

CAROM POOL, "Ironically its the other game that is played during a game/match when not pocketing balls and when your on offense, but we never practice this, hummmmmm. Why not.?
