No - Jay started about 5 years before Dennis and had a wide variety of tooling patterns and designs. Dennis started making cases after he saw Dave Bollman with a home made case. Later he probably saw some of Jay's tooling and came up with his own distinct pattern, which really hasn't changed much in years:
