I recently was in the market for a break cue and I saw a posting by bill the cat on some new break cues with purpleheart shafts. I had heard good things about these shafts and I really liked the design on this break cue so I took a chance and contacted him. I want to say he is one of the nicest people I have talked with on here. He was eager to answer any questions and when all my questions were answered he shipped promptly. This is the thread that I got the break cue from. Ordered the bottom one

Got the cue in monday and have used it three different league nights with about 15 breaks using it. The first few breaks felt different than I am used to and this was due to the white diamond tip. Never used that tip before. Once I got used to it I was making 3-4 balls every break in 8 ball and 9 ball. I have never made this many balls before. The weight of the cue feels much lighter than the 20oz cues that I was used to breaking with, yet it is much more efficient. I believe the break cue I ordered came in at just over 19 oz, the butt of the cue was a little over 15 oz and the purpleheart shaft was a little over 4oz. This cue breaks lights out. In fact I got the easiest 9 ball break and run last night making 4 ball on the break and 2 of the remaining balls were in pockets. If you get a chance try Bill's cues out. Not only are they great looking, but they really do play well. I hope to get a playing cue made in the future. Thanks.
