Are you sure the Canadians will be held in Toronto again this year?

As far as I know, the CBSA has not confirmed anything as of yet...
 
Why Toronto

I hope that the CBSA holds it here in Edmonton.It would look good fore our city and maybe held here next year.
 
It's official...Shooters in Toronto will be hosting the Canadian's from June 5th-June 16th.

Time to start practicing.
 
March 2nd deadline coming up

Just a note to anybody interested, there will be no late entries. Get your info and payment into Gilles Richard on or before March 2nd.

Call Gilles at (780) 218-3534 and he will give you the account number which you can deposit your entry fee at any Alberta Treasury Branch.
 
20 players only???

do you have to be a resident of alberta to play? or is it open?:thumbup:

20 is so surprisingly few. I know one of the players entered so I'll offer this. If the minimum isn't met by next Monday I'll put my name in to support the others and pledge-challenge Seether to do the same.
 
There are a few other tourneys in the province the same weekend that may be conflicting with this event. That paired with the dual-location format and fickleness of the local higher level pool players may lead to a slightly underwhelming turnout. I applaud the organizers for their hard-work in getting this running but expect that play at the whistle stop will keep quite a few players from entering.
 
Besides posting a link on FB I’ve told two friends of mine, a Walmac open player and a CPA7, about this and they’ll be telling two friends. The High Run, though not a venue, also agreed to keep some printouts of the flyer with the new deadline date at their front counter. For my part I’ll follow through on my entry if it means another player can be entered into the Nationals; my 9-ball game’s okay but two players will be getting an easy round. I’ll call Gilles this weekend to see where the number is at.
 
And Seether, if 9 ball isn't your speed, you're welcome to come down to Chimmys every sunday at 5:30 and play in the weekly 8 ball tournament I run.
