CBSA/complaints/pool players

I am not a pool player however I am the mother and wife of a few. It is my opinion that CBSA could have a better turn out in the junior division if there was better advertising for it. I personally had no idea this organization existed until my older son got out playing in more tournaments on his own. It is most unfortunate as well when the politics of the game overlook the players trying to be successful. Also, if the CBSA got a charity number, more funding could be available as businesses would donate cash. What the business wants in return is free advertising and a tax break. Corporate sponsors could be had if they registered.

i agree. I play out of Kitchener/Guelph area; if I were to see such advertising, for any type of tournament, i'd definately play from time to time atleast... I'm always looking for an excuse to play a tournament but all i'm ever aware of is team tournaments and regular league play.

If there was a sticky posted on this forum with updated tournament info i'm sure more attention could be drawn to these events.

*also as a small business owner myself, a sponsorship would be of interest, ofcourse in return for a small amount of advertising and a tax break.

The whole tournament was atrocious. Totally disgusting that national championship pool tournaments are using alternate break.

The snooker venue was so hot it was intolerable for both the players and the fans, but the players weren't even allowed to roll their sleeves up. Added to that was the cloth being so slow you couldn't even get the cue ball up and down the length of it and made the standard pretty goddman weak. They had maybe a maximum of 30'people watching, which is pretty crappy.

All in all if that's the best event in Canada, I'd hate to see the worst.
