Any pool halls around there? I'm gonna be there in a month for a week for work and wouldn't mind playing some cheap sets and meet some guys from AZ. Thanks in advance.
 
There's 2nd Avenue Corner Pocket and Fat Wally's - both close to the downtown area. Not much happening at FW's but it's a nice room full of Olhausen tables. Corner Pocket has weekly tournaments on Friday nights (8 ball, I believe) and Sunday afternoon (2pm 9ball and 7ish 8ball). They have several bar boxes and a few 9 footers.

There are some pretty good players here in CR, but these are cheap buy-in tourneys so they're mostly just for fun. You might find someone willing to gamble, though.
 
Yeah, if some action it is your looking for then most definitely hit up 2nd Ave. Corner Pocket. Great staff and the Friday night 8-Ball is some wild fun. There is a break pot and its pretty huge right now.

I just bet you there will be action for you on any game you would like to play, just ask around and dont be shy. I hear the big guy behind the counter can steer better than Dale Earnhardt Jr. :cool:
 
Thanks for the info. Not wanting to do any serious gambling, just wanting to play some while I'm there. Any straight pool players around there?
