overall dia. is great.....just want to know the wall thickness, some are down around .7-8 mm, with a outside dia. of 13. or 12.8 mm....not great for a break shaft13mm will work nicely
What I ordered was 1.2-1.3 average thickness......fingers crossedMine are .0525 wall thickness that are foam filled, zero issues.
Can’t wait to read your thoughts on them. I’ll pull the trigger on them based on that. Thanks. What I ordered was 1.2-1.3 average thickness......fingers crossed
Those will do fine, I've use the same thickness for break and jump shafts, no problems what so ever and these shafts are going on 3 years now. What I ordered was 1.2-1.3 average thickness......fingers crossed
Dave, I broke down and ordered a couple of shafts. One was turned into a back up for my Cynergy shaft and the other was to extend the life of a Viking cue (20 years old). Both shafts were straight and turned into great players. Hope you have great luck with yours. What I ordered was 1.2-1.3 average thickness......fingers crossed
Hmmm . . in my opinion you don't want a break shaft to flex, that robs energy out of your shot. I think what you want is a different tip. I recommend BulletProof break tips to my customers. Cue rebounds off the tip and you get great control. Everyone of my customers is very happy with theirs.Recent had a ready-made ordered from China and it was extremely inflexible compared to the Revos and BKR shafts. I asked for a 12.9 and told him it was intended as a break shaft. I gave feedback after receiving it and he remarked that because I wanted a break shaft, he gave me a shaft with a wall thickness of 1.2mm.
I swear it works better as a bat, too stiff to flex and therefore form of control on the break. Might change to a medium or hard layered tip to see if it's better.
But what i guess im saying is, for break cues, probably 1.0mm wall thickness.
I tried flexing the BKR shaft and there is some flex in it, compared to mine which doesnt even budge.Hmmm . . in my opinion you don't want a break shaft to flex, that robs energy out of your shot. YMMV
How's the taper on the shaft in question?Recent had a ready-made ordered from China and it was extremely inflexible compared to the Revos and BKR shafts.
