CF conditioners?

Is there a certain wax or polish you can apply to CF shafts to restore that brand new look and feel?

I had Predator do a Recharge on my shaft once and it did, in fact, feel new. Curious as to what one could use to replicate. There's lots of CF cleaning products but mostly for car parts. Not entirely sure how different a shaft polymer may be.

There is a lot on YouTube about doing this for bicycles and cars but I cannot find anything relating to cues.

I haven't been into biking in a long time, but I don't recall ever worrying about how easily my bike frame would slide through my fingers.
I don't think a polish for carbon fiber used for carbon fiber would matter what the carbon fiber was formed into.
Do you? I put car wax on my wood shafts, or even Bowling ally wax. I don't need my bowling alley to slip through my fingers either, but the result is the same either way.
Please share your wisdom since you clearly have the answer? What is the best polish for a cf cue? I am very curious now as I recently acquired one and would like it to be conditioned properly.

Call Meguiars. I have found them very helpful with information on waxes that have specific properties such as cleaners, burnishers or for removing micro scratches in finishes.

Scratch X and Plastic X, both, will make carbon fiber gleam. Is it proper, no idea it was just handy. Brian.

Strangely, my rogue carbon fiber shaft is too slick for my liking. Almost too slippery to control for my style. I was wondering if I could take the sheen off somehow with a fine steel wool to make it feel more like wood?

I've never liked wax on my shafts. There is too much stiction.

Very glossy surfaces often suffer from stiction. Everybody has likely experienced this. Think about two sheets of glass, one sitting on the other. Try to slide the top piece and it doesn't move easily. Once it does, then it moves very easily.

I've found that a matte finish on plastics reduces the stiction effect.

If your cue used to be slick, I would bet that it had either been polished from use or has a build up of oils. I'd try cleaning with dawn dish soap.

I have a Rogue CF for my Pechauer stick and I don't care for it that much because it is too slick, or too smooth. It seems I would enjoy a little more friction from the shaft for control purposes. Is this a common issue? How can I change the feel of that shaft?

Take a piece of waxed paper and "polish it up" it will take some of the slick off with no harm to your shaft. It will still be very smooth just not quite as slick.

No that is not a common issue for most. Most want the Carbon Fiber shafts to not have so much drag in their hand. I think this may be a first for me. Hundreds of times I have heard or seen it asked how to make the shaft slicker. But not the opposite.

Talking about car stuff:
Once you've cleaned your shaft, you can use a spray or two of Turtle Wax Seal & Shine.
-Spray in paper towel, work quickly on the portion of the shaft you want to be slick.
-Remove without putting much pressure with a microfiber cloth
