CF shaft iv joint

Has anyone played with this combination? If so how does it feel. I’m considering using the good stuff on my joint and hoppe ring on my custom being built. I originally requested efloryn.

I build my own CF shafts from blanks I buy from China and have constructed two with IV joints. One paired with IV joint and I feel as though that combination is unnecessary. Redundant if you will. The second one I built paired with a true sneaky (Scruggs) and played (in my opinion) exceptionally well.
Unless someone specifically wants, I doubt that I will build more. Here again, in my opinion, the hit/feel/feedback was not enhanced by the IV.

Not in my opinion. Hit/feel/feedback is subjective and probably not the same in any two players. And I am sure you know the saying about opinions

Yeah, ok. I think it is worth it to go iv on my joint and hoppe ring, the ferrules are already iv. I'd like a cue with iv in it while I still can get it.

I have played with revo on ivory 5/16x14 piloted steel....3/8x10 flat faced ivory....radial flat faced ivory
to me the difference in feel and play was from the characteristics of the shaft not the joint
