so I bought on to the hype of CF shafts and used one for a few months............... I went back to my maple shaft this week................. I found that CF shafts do give you more cue ball movement but at times it seemed to just go crazy and make the cue ball do things that I had not intended....................

I think when you start changing your deflection it is time to make a serious adjustment to your game. It's not easy making these types of changes in a wide variety of shots.

CF is the latest greatest, remember when Predator was hot stuff. Hype sold many, and started a new industry.

Now it CF.🤩

I think it's only necessary to recalibrate your aim. Everything else works the same as before.

My experience switching to a CF shaft wasn't so much about aim, but about cue ball control (speed) and my new ability to get a lot more action off the cue ball with softer hit. It took me a few months to really get a good feel for it. I was never really a hard hitter, so deflection wasn't as big as an issue to me as some. With CF (Revo) I really don't even think of deflection unless I am hitting fairly hard. I love that I can mostly point and shoot at 90% of my everyday shots.

Just to be clear, my comment above was only about squirt ("deflection"). Energy transfer is another topic.
