Chalk covers for custom pocket chalkers

Just wondering if anybody knows where a guy can get those rubber/vinyl chalk covers with the little flanged loop/ear that you hook a chain or string through for making pocket chalkers like you see for sale everywhere.

I've searched until my eyes are bleeding for those little plastic/vinyl covers by themselves, preferably in lots of 10 or 20, but have come up with nothing. I've even looked on Alibaba. Zip. Surely somebody makes and sells these things or else these variations of them using the same exact design wouldn't exist.

Not interested in using leather or similar for the actual chalk holding part of the piece, as I want to be able to make a bunch of these up and then give some away as gifts and others maybe sell a few here and there. Something different, unique to the person.

Small Snap On wrench as the body of the unit for one guy. Elk horn for another. Like that.

Anybody has an idea where a guy can get these WITH the little ear that has the hole in it for attaching the string or links to would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Hmm. I was sure out of all these members somebody might know where to get those. I'd like to think I'm not the only person in the world with an interest in making some of these.
 
For a few dollars each just buy a dozen with that pen or stick attached and cut it off. You aren't going to get just the plastic holder for less if you are buying 10 and not 200 at a time.

Did you check alibaba? They seem to have just about everything.
You just have to figure out what they are actually called. It probably
has some weird name like a "vechinik" or "chalkorater"

Exactly, and I've tried just about every naming convention I can think of. It usually IS a matter of knowing the exact nomeclature to use, but in this case I can't even seem to find a clue to what that might be. I figured MAYBE somebody here will have been through this before and say "you have to search for THIS" in order to get relevant results.

Yeah, that's an option, and what I'll likely do if I can do it any other way. The thing is, you KNOW somebody is making these, because you see the exact same vinyl cube shaped holder on fifty different brands and styles of pocket chalker, all with the same attachment point for the chain or string, so they have to buying them somewhere which means anybody SHOULD be able to do the same if they can find the manufacturer or item.

Right. And I AM willing to buy in larger lots, if I can find them, because it's not very cost effective to buy an item at 5 bucks each when you can likely only sell them for 15-20 bucks each at the most, depending on how unique each one is and what exactly is attached to it. Obviously, one with a piece of plastic attached isn't going to go for what one with a Snap On wrench or Elk horn goes for, and when they are gifts I really don't care about that aspect of it, but for the rest I might.

Pool vinyl chalk holders

Try searching "Pool vinyl chalk holders" on ebay, there are a bunch.
