Chalk on The Rail

LOL

It is good etiquette to grab your stuff when you're not shooting on the table.

If its a community chalk then its ok to leave it on the table. If its yours then pick it up.

The politeness happened by chance when everyone started using expensive chalks and would grab their chalk on their way back to the table. Then it became a thing and now its considered good etiquette.

If you leave your chalk on the table then I may accidentally dump it in a pocket.

When I come to the table, I place 2 pieces of my chalk on the top rail. So I don't have to walk around the table to get one chalk.
I had an opponent telling me that I should pick up both pieces before I sit down.
Well, I ain't goin' there.

It's a bit of a running joke where I play how much I hate there being more than two pieces on the rail of the table. I have chalk, you have chalk, that's fine. But the hall puts two pieces by the scoreboard of every table. Some players grab that before the one they previously set down. When there's three or four chalks on the rail of the table, the 'tism within me compels me to pick it up and put it back by the scoreboard before I even look at the layout :ROFLMAO: If I have to do that two or three times, I am either going to take them to the counter of the hall, or put them at another table far away. If you go get them back, I am going to cuss you out.

I have a Chalk Pouch, it is for my CHALK. I am not in business of supplying CHALK to anyone. Two reason some would CRY on Master, or silver Cup, I expect V-10. Fooked.
I usually just put it in my pocket, or next to where I am sitting. To be honest, I really don't care if people leave it on the table. But 3, 4, 15 pieces of chalk on the edge of a table is genuinely annoying.

I don't care if my opponent leaves chalk on the table, as long as it is right side up and he doesn't care if I use it!

I never put more than one piece of chalk on the table. If there is more than 1 piece, by the time I'm done shooting, they will be side by side. I don't know why, but I always end up grabbing them both and set them down together.

I do the same, not consciously. I think I just want them out of eyeline. Two people, two pieces of chalk.
I don't know. I know a couple of guys that do it all the time though. Chalk all over the rail. Constantly having to get something to wipe the rail down with. Annoying as hell!
Efren knows this to be true! haha no one likes a booger wiped on the edge of the table either. Wonder if anyone ever brought that up directly with Efren? 🤣
does everyone recognize how svb sets down his chalk? earl?
Perhaps if you're sat in the chair playing them, you might. Watching on video, these days, they take it with them to the chair 9 times out of 10.

I know one guy that never sets his chalk down on the table. He keeps in his bridge hand all the time.
