Chalk similar to Taom V10?

Our club recently changed to gray cloth from blue on the table. I always used Taom V10, light green colored on the old table. Great chalk! I’m looking for a gray chalk that is similar in quality to the V10. I tried Toam 2.0 which is very light blue/gray and iI don’t think it’s anywhere near as good as the V10. It seems much drier and doesn’t stay on the tip as good as I’m accustomed to. Is there another brand out there that’s similar in quality to the V10? When all these chalk brands started coming out and I saw the prices of them, I laughed and thought chalk is just chalk, boy was I wrong!
I’d appreciate your opinions, thank you.

Dr. Dave has done several U-Tube where he compared Chalks.

Bottom like IMHO is Master is great, if you Chalk for each shot.

I have been using Silver Cup, it work if I Calk between shots.

Tried V-10, Green. It was ok, but nothing special.

Use the Chalk you love.

Many many brands to choose from.

The new Dr V Titlist chalk that SVB is using and endorsing comes in grey. I have a piece and like the way it adheres to my break tip (which hates chalk). I also tried it out a bit on a playing cue and it’s pretty clean.

I still use my green Pagulayan on my playing cue though. I’m used to it, I like it and not willing to change. But I’d recommend trying the Dr V.

Another premium chalk that comes in grey is Turning Point out of China - used and endorsed by some Asian players. A bunch of the Chinese players I know in my area have switched to it and like it.

Master is great if you like blue dots all over your cue ball, especially from breaking and jumping.
For those who like playing with a clean cue ball, stick with the Taom V10.

Sierra Billiards & Bar in Fresno recovered all the tables months ago with gray cloth.
I hate it .and it will never get used again….horrible color that shows dirt and stains
so much more than Simonis Championship Blue or British Green pool table cloth. The
owners regret the change but live and learn. I’d prefer they go back to using Simonis green.

Well I have used Master, Silver Cup, Triangle, and V-10 Recently. The only game I play is One Pocket, and do not over Chalk. Some people use excess amounts of Chalk, and the Excess Chalk make a big mess.

The reason is they use too much Chalk, the Chalk IMHO is not the problem, getting all over everything. People using way too much Chalk is the problem........IMHO.

I would just stick with the V10. It's so much cleaner anyway I doubt you'll find it leaving much in the way of marks on the grey cloth.

I use blue V10. There is one room I hit up occasionally that has grey cloth and every table has a sign saying to use their grey chalk but I and plenty of others ignore that. I'm sure they've given up on that as none of the workers have ever said a word and they've definitely seen me using my blue Taom.

Any room trying to mandate a specific color of chalk in this era where the majority of serious players are using their own preferred chalk is an effort in futility in my opinion.

I use RMC green. Haven't had any issues with staining. It's pretty clean in my opinion.

Thanks for the response guys. I tried Kamui for a bit then I dropped it in a corner pocket. It was alright but it wasn’t as good as the V10. I’ll stay with V10 for now, thanks again

that was going to be my advice
i dont see where the green will cause a problem on any cloth since its so clean

It doesn’t have to match the table as the Taom chalk and similar brands don’t leave marks.
I have a gray Turning Point chalk, it’s nice but softer than the Taom and the Pagulayan
