due to differences in thickness and thread count, how do the Simonis 760-860-860HR compare with respect to the amount of chalk accumulated under the cloth?

you need to use LESS SPACE when posting for starters. don't need to use up an acre of space for such a short post. ;) No difference in chalk build-up. Vacuum and wipe with a damp microfiber. Some Woolite mixed in a bucket of water is good too.

For a home table the new expensive 'forever' chalks are probably your best bet for drastically reducing chalk build up. I don't see much advantage to them in pool rooms, which are filthy anyway and you can just open the door to losing an expensive piece of chalk that doesn't improve play quality over cheap master chalk anyway.

But for home use, Toam, or really any of the other long lasting expensive chalks, will be a great choice for keeping the table clean; certainly more than the type of cloth used.

Repurposed masks to stop chalk...

Don't work.
Do work.
Double up.
Stop using chalk.
You killed grandma.
Pandemic of the un-chalked.

Look, it's a squirrel!
