This sounds good! Can you give more details? Like, whats the limit of players? How will the handi cap work (APA, BCA, etc...)? Pay outs? etc...

Hi Icucybe

$30 entry

BCA Format 8 Ball Winners side
Express 9 Ball One loss Side
Nine on Break is not a Win
2-11 Handicapped similar to the APA format

Payouts are dependent upon the tournout
Big Rack is accumulating and play is for 50% of fund.

Players must have played in 25% of events held to qualify for Big Rack

Hope to see everyone on Saturday!

Doors open at 11am Play begins at 12 noon (Sharp).

A Big Thank You to everyone who came out to support this Tournament, Hope many more Tournaments to come.

A local Fernando Took 1st Place after a tight and nerve racking Finals against Kevin Huck who narrowly took it all down.

Fernando also Pulled for the Big Rack but unfortunatley came up a little short. Maybe Next Time Fernando.

Next Event is this Saturday October 12th

11am registration

12pm Start.

Hope to See everyone There!!

Tournament Preferences/Thoughts

Wanted to ask how Players feel about Tournaments.

This applies to all skill levels, Would you rather play a race in 8-Ball/9-Ball, or have it Handicapped giving players the lower skilled players and equal playing field during a weekly local tournament?

2nd Question Which games do you prefer for local ournament play 8-Ball,9-Ball or 10-Ball?

Please respond with your BCA,APA Tap Skill Level and your thoughts.

Thank you for your input.

Sorry I missed your last tournament, but do plan to go to as many as possible if I'm in town. Personally, I prefer non-handicapped tournaments (8 ball, 9 ball, 10 ball are all fine), even though I'm not an A player. I think sometimes I play worse when handicaps are involved, for whatever reason. I don't play leagues, but I think I would be around a 6.

And a big thank you for an excellent listing. I spotted the City/State and immediately dove in. I avoid tournaments that have sloppy listings, usually indicative of the way the tournament is (mis)managed.

Unfortunately I had to be in Minneapolis for an annual convention, I'm on the road heading back now. Not sure if you remember me. I stopped by last week, shot a few racks by the window. You've got a nice room, with excellent equipment and friendly staff, do you plan to expand to add more tables in the future?

You guys are about 2 hours drive away, but well worth it. Hope to make it to a tournament there soon. :)

I plan to give this a shot this weekend...I don't play in a league nor do I have a handicap. Is that an issue? :o

Thank you for the kind words. Any skill level can compete. I am doing this one tournament with no handicap and just races so you should be fine. See you Saturday.

Nice tournament, great service. I went 2-2, got to see Mike Seigel (been many years since I heard that mouth). I made a few friends, and got annoyed with one person (clue: not everyone depends on pool for pocket change ). 120 miles home, see you guys again some other time.

how many people did you have for this tournament and who were 1,2,3? do you think you will do some more tournaments like this one, straight up races?

Are you referring to the kid that showed up too late to enter then walked around chirping for action offering everybody the 7? I had to drive 70 miles for this tournament, ended up in 5th, got to meet Mike Sigel and had a great time...wish I'd shot a little better/more consistent, though. I'll probably be back, I like the format!

I think there were 12 of us...I don't know who won, but I'm pretty sure 1st and 2nd place finishers were the two guys who beat me like a rented mule....
