Yes, it's possible.
I looked into doing this for one of my shafts. Going from 3/8x10 to Uniloc. The cue guy told me he would need the butt end as well to match things up correctly. He would put a dowel & exopy into the 3/8 hole, and once it cured, he would put in the Uniloc insert.
I ended up backing off, it sounded like the exopy might affect the feel of the shaft, and then I would be stuck (no pun intended).
Pose this question in the "Ask The Cuemaker" section as well, you will likely see a more in depth explanation.
Good luck...

I've been thinking about doing the same and also backed off because I was worried about the hit changing. I've been assured it won't but nagging doubts remain...
Ever get halfway through a table and say, "Hey... I'll shoot this here instead", and totally screw up the run ? Kicking yourself on the way to the chair, mumbling, "I should've gone with my first choice" ?
Something in the back of your head tells you to stay with the original plan. But you change your mind anyway, make the other shot, blow position, get stuck a shot later with an off-angle kick or bank, and end up blowing that game.
Once you have all the pertinent information, then it's all about intuition...
I just had Ryan (Rat Cues) at Muellers do one for me, uniloc to3/8x10. It was a 1st generation Predator and turned out great.
How much did you pay for it?
