How hard would it be to change the ring work and piloted threads on a shaft?

It should be fairly easy to change the ring work. The threads on the shaft requires a bit more info. What are they now and what do you want to change to? By piloted do you mean there is an insert in the shaft? We need to know if the threads are male or female and what they are in or on. I could make a few assumptions and answer this but making assumptions almost always results in headaches for somebody.

Changing the insert shouldn't be too big of a deal either unless the hole in it was off center and the shaft built around it.
