Changing a weight bolt

I have a Joss cue from the 90's with the old hand logo. It's pretty heavy, 20+ oz. I'm about to buy a 30" shaft and if it's heavier than the shaft I have the cue will become a bit too heavy. Is there anything special to know about changing a weight bolt? It seems pretty straightforward but I would be upset if I damaged the cue so I figured I'd ask first. It has the newer Allen head weight bolt, not the older hex head or slotted ones which I read can be difficult

I removed the weight bolt from mine a couple of months ago and it was easy, peasy. Just use the appropriate sized allen wrench and unscrew it.

Thank you. I figured it was simple but I'm just paranoid about potentially damaging a cue I really like.
