I have a Jacoby cue and a sneaky pete made by a local cue maker. They both use the same thread for the joint. However, the sneaky pete uses a piloted joint(a little metal ring sticks out) and the Jacoby does not. Can I safely use the Jacoby shaft on the sneaky pete, even though the Jacoby shaft is flush at the end? It screws together fine. I want to use it because it has a had moori on it and that way I can break with the sneaky pete(which has a soft elk master.)
