Hi Everyone,

We are very pleased to announce that we will be building a line of X Breaker for Charlie, "HillBilly," Byrant and we are looking for a name to put on this line of cues to best represent Charlie and the X Breaker.

We will offer a Charlie Byrant X Breaker free of charge including free shipping to the winner of this contest. This contest will run for 7 days. It will end on 5 July, 2006.

Here is some background to help everyone understand Charlie and his breaking cue.

As you know, Charlie has a monster break with lots of power and control. Here is a link to his break video.

The X Breaker has the strongest tip *on the market now among all the breaking cues.

(*Compressive Strength: Xtreme Tip:68,000psi; Sledgehammer/Stinger Tip:50,000psi, BK2 Tip:37,000psi).

The X Breaker that Charlie Byrant is using now features a Purpleheart Forearm and Butt Sleeve, with a Bloodwood Handle. (Please refer to picture attached)

The whole butt section is cored. The butt end features a Rambow Style white phenolic ring, with white/black phenolic rings above and below the handle, and a 5/16 x 14 piloted white phenolic joint with black joint collars.

I am hoping to find a name which is easy to remember even for non English speakers because other than the US, we sell a lot of X Breaker to Japan, and have a lot of interest from Europe.

We are also looking for a name which can depict the unique characteristic and image of Charlie, and the power and control that the X Breaker offers.

This line of Charlie Byrant's X Breaker will be priced at $425 each.

I am hoping to use this chance to show my appreciation to Azers who have been very supportive of the X Breaker in the last 9 months. This contest is limited to Azers who have had at least 50 posts.

Charlie's "Purpleheart" X-cellence

i think it says it all:

1/ the ( btw LOVELY!!) purpleheart wood used, who really says enough about how GOOD it looks. the name purpleheart in itself is a really nice name (more then bloodwood..associations with blood = negative.. etc) and i can easily asociate it with positive things. its almost a little nickname like u give your girlfriend. well now this cue will have one too :D as ull be spending more time with it then with your wife/gf :D

2/ The red X, every image brand needs a eye-cathing thing. often it will be colored red, but differential psychological reasons. u can read enough about colors en there associations in books etc. The X (the headspot? the aiming sight? the bridgearm? so many things can be associated with it. perfect letter for a pool-related item. the red X will be THE focuspoint of all the x breakers. (i think the red X on the but-added-thingy realy cought my eye.. hence why im reusing it in the name. color and letter are perfect.


3/ after looks, eye catching logo, whats left? how does the cue play? how does charlie break and jump?....
couldnt find another word that descripes it better. Excellent...

4/ u could add his name or first name. or remove the purpleheart: Charlie's X-cellence.

well thats my try. who knows, i might own my dreamcue sooner then i think. :D then i can remove at least 1 item from my signature.

greats and respect, silly solly and gratz for making the xbreaker buyable in europe too.

since other people are responding i might aswell too my first idea was simple just call it the CBX, than i thought maybe call it the Hillbilly-CBX

Well, the point of the posts requirement is just that I am hoping to offer the cue to someone who has contributed to the forum for at least a certain period of time.

Seeing how some of you may feel about this, I have removed the time requirment.

And there is no limit to number of entries.

I cannot wait for some creative and original names. Please keep them coming.:)

I even thought about calling it the " 'ShineStick"....for the stick with a kick!!!!

These line of Charlie Byrant X Breaker will be built per order on a first order first served basis. No more than 100 of the Charlie Byrant X Breaker will be built per year.

I haven't seen or tried one of the X-breaker cues. However, I like the name "Hillbilly X-treme".

Hillbilly Hammer!
Maybe something cute in a logo with the double H's, or an X in the middle.
 
Hi Richard,

Here's one of my entries seeing that I'm a Jimi Hendrix fan and knowing the speed of hillbilly's break: "Purple Haze". Instead of ...kiss the sky, you can ...kiss that rack goodbye :eek:.

Or: "Controlled Chaos" You can ad Hillbilly's Controlled Chaos to the title.

Or: "Barney Blaster" ;).

Or one of my favorites: " 'Billy Club "
