Charlotte NC Pool Room Suggestion

I'm travelling to Charlotte for the weekend to catch the Panthers/Cardinals on Sunday. My brother and I will be looking for a place to shoot on Saturday night. Looking around google it looks like The Smokin Cue is the place to go. We're not looking to play a tournament or ring game, just play for a couple hours at a nice room on a nice table. Any suggestions would be great (if it helps we are staying out by the airport). Thanks!

What is the word on MT Billiards?
I need to come down and check it out.
Spent all the money i nade from last time thru

Drive North up I-77 about 45 minutes to Statesville, NC. You will find one of the biggest, nicest pool rooms in the country. Chandley's Chalk & Cue. Full bar, food, and about 40 9 foot Diamond tables and a big 10 footer Diamond... Action if you want it....

I know of 1 pretty nice pool hall, but it is in Matthews NC (which is a suburb of Charlotte).

RACKEM PUB & BILLIARDS
Windsor Square, 1898 Windsor Square Dr A, Matthews, NC 28105

I see that it is about 18 miles (30 minute drive) from the airport. I thought it was a pretty nice place (with regulation size tables), but there might be better options that are closer to where you are staying. I was staying in a motel in Mathews, so that is why I went there.

There was also this other really cool old school type of pool hall (that was not far from downtown) that I visited. It had 9 foot tables. I think this is the place.

Pass Time Billiards & Lounge

I understand that I probably should not have replied, because the locals will probably give you the very best options for you.

Smokin Cue is nice and hopefully there won't be a wait for a table. Unless it's changed, Saturday night rates are $5 per hour. Pretty good food, too.

For what it's worth, we ended up going to The Smokin Cue and had a really good time. The tables were in great shape. I would definitely go back, I was impressed.
